As announced earlier on Thursday, Marlion Pickett will conclude his six-year fairytale career in Round 24 after announcing his retirement

The 32-year-old played 90 senior games after the Tigers selected him in the 2019 Mid-Season Rookie Draft, famously making his AFL debut in that year’s Grand Final.

The West Australian is back for his first AFL match since Round 12, after recovering from a calf injury which saw him return through the VFL the past two games.

Also returning to the senior side following an injury layoff is Maurice Rioli Jr, who last played senior football in Round 9 against Geelong when he suffered a syndesmosis injury and returned through the VFL with Pickett a fortnight ago.

The 21-year-old produced a gutsy performance in the VFL Tigers' win over Carlton last Sunday for his second game back, recording 17 disposals, eight tackles and seven inside-50s.

Tenacious utility Liam Baker rounds out the inclusions for the Saturday clash with the Suns, after the 26-year-old was sidelined for the past two rounds due to concussion protocols.

Making way for the three additions are James Trezise, Jacob Blight and Matt Coulthard, who have all been omitted and named as the Tigers' emergencies.

Pickett will join fellow retirees Dustin Martin and Dylan Grimes for a special farewell following Saturday's match, as we honour and celebrate their remarkable legacies.

The Round 24 game will also mark the Club's annual Thank You Tiger Army Round.

Senior coach Adem Yze said after "a pretty emotional week" for the Club.

"We can't wait to get out there on Saturday to not only farewell two of our best players to ever play the game in Dylan and Dustin, but really play for a couple of the other boys that are finishing up as well," Yze said.

"Marlion's story is an amazing story from where he started. To get 90 games out and two premierships, it's going to be an amazing book if he ever wants to write (one)."

"He deserves (to play on Saturday)... and be sent off the right way."

The final-round match at the 'G kicks off at 3.20pm and will be broadcast live on Fox Footy and Kayo Sports.

In-form wingman Hugo Ralphsmith will play his 50th AFL game this Saturday.
