This World Environment Day, Richmond Football Club is thrilled to launch a collaboration with SisterWorks.

SisterWorks is a nonprofit social enterprise supporting refugee, migrant and asylum-seeking women through work and entrepreneurship for wellbeing and economic empowerment.

As part of the Club's commitment to environmental sustainability, as well as diversity and inclusion, the program will focus on upcycling unwanted materials from around the Club into innovative new products.

Richmond's Head of Sustainability Rita Nehme said it was an exciting and impactful collaboration for the Club.

"By diverting material from landfill and transforming them into valuable items, we not only reduce our environmental footprint but also work with the incredible women of SisterWorks on their entrepreneurial and employment journey," Nehme said.

"This initiative is another step in delivering on our Environmental Sustainability Action Plan and Diversity and Inclusion Action Plan."

SisterWorks CEO Ifrin Fittock expressed her enthusiasm for the launch of the program and the benefits it will deliver to the community.

"This collaboration with Richmond Football Club and the sustainability initiative is massive for us, and we are very proud to be part of this program," Fittock said.
