Richmond’s ‘pocket rocket’, Jake King, is rated a strong chance to return to the Tigers’ line-up for Sunday’s Round 6 clash with Port Adelaide at AAMI Stadium.

King damaged the posterior cruciate ligament in his left knee during the Round 2 match against Collingwood and was expected to be sidelined for up to six weeks.
But, in typical fashion, the livewire small forward has set about defying the odds and now appears in line to take his place in the Tiger team for Sunday’s important match.

He would be the ideal replacement for Daniel Jackson, who has been handed a one-match suspension by the AFL’s Match Review Panel, as the result of a rough conduct offence in last Sunday’s clash with West Coast at Etihad Stadium.

Meanwhile, star Tiger midfielder Brett Deledio will be right to continue his run of 98 consecutive games after being involved in a “friendly fire” incident during the Eagles game.

Deledio hurt his kneewhen teammate Shane Tuck slid into him in the second quarter and was forced to leave the field.

He returned late in the term with the knee strapped, played out the game, and again was one of Richmond’s best players.
