As announced earlier on Thursday, the Tigers will blood second-year forward Seth Campbell for Saturday's Opening Round clash with Gold Coast at Heritage Bank Stadium, while Sam Naismith and Jacob Koschitzke will make their Richmond debuts.
Campbell, 19, will be the Club's first debutant of the season, after an eye-catching pre-season from the rookie-listed Tiger.
It's been a remarkable journey back to the AFL for ruck Naismith, who has overcome three knee reconstructions in his career.
He played his last game for Sydney against the Western Bulldogs back in Round 4, 2020. He will run out 1353 days later in his new colours.
The 31-year-old isn't taking his second chance at the level for granted, producing two strong performances in the Tigers' pre-season hit-outs to earn his Opening Round spot.
Koschitzke, who arrived at Tigerland last October, will add to the 48 career games he played for Hawthorn, where he averaged better than a goal a game.
The 198cm key position player will give the Tigers a handy option up forward, in addition to swingman Noah Balta, who has also been named in attack.
Third-year key defender Josh Gibcus will make his highly-anticipated return to the side after a hamstring injury saw him miss the entirety of 2023.
New Richmond coach Adem Yze said he'd been highly impressed by the 20-year-old.
"We've loved what we've seen from him... He played against a really good opponent (in the Collingwood practice game) and he did really well," Yze said.
"We think he's going to progress all throughout the year and just keep improving. He's highly talented but he's highly driven. He wants to be one of the best defenders in the competition.
"We're really proud of him, he had a tough year last year."
Superstar midfielder Dustin Martin was ruled out of the match on Thursday morning, after the 32-year-old suffered a corky during training at the Swinburne Centre on Tuesday.
“The risk of him playing this weekend is going to be too high… We’ve got a five-day break leading into the Carlton game and he’s too important for us.”

Nathan Broad, Thomson Dow, Marlion Pickett, Samson Ryan and Jack Ross have been named on the interchange, one of which will be selected as the Tigers' substitute one hour out from the first bounce.
Richmond's three emergencies for the Suns clash are Tom Brown, Steely Green and Noah Cumberland.
Yze said he couldn't wait for his first official match at the helm.
"I'm just so excited for our players to get out there and execute what we've been training," he said.
"We've had two practice games, we've had a full dress rehearsal last week against the best team in the comp.
"Now the season's starting, so we can't wait to get up there and showcase what we can do."
