As the countdown continues to the launch of the 2012 AFL Dreamteam competition, richmondfc.com.au gives you the low down on Richmond's playing list.

Shane Edwards
Price: $307,200
Position: Midfielder
2011 Games: 20
2011 DT Average: 62.10

Summary: Edwards had a solid 2011 season, with a top score of 113, and also notched games of 90, 89 and 87.  Another who could benefit from the continued development of the Tigers’ midfield brigade.

Brandon Ellis
Price: $116,700
Position: Defender

Summary: The first pick in the 2011 National Draft for Richmond at 15, Ellis may be brought along similarly to 2010 pick Reece Conca.  He is ready made for AFL football, and could look to start his career running out of the backline, before moving into the midfield.  Looks a valuable inexpensive pickup as a defender.

Todd Elton
Price: $98,700
Position: Forward

Summary
: Standing 197cm tall at just 18 years of age, the big man is looking to become a long-term key position player for the Tigers. Look for him to play a large chunk of 2012 at Coburg, but could see some time should he run into some form in the reserves.

Nathan Foley
Price: $414,600
Position: Midfielder
2011 Games: 22
2011 DT Average: 83.82

Summary
: After returning from a long injury lay-off, Foley had an excellent 2011 season. Starting at a very reasonable $235,000, he got as high as $353,400, and will start 2012 at $414,600. He was ranked 20th overall in the AFL for tackles in 2011, adding great value along with his ability to find the football.  Will be part of a well-stocked midfield in 2012.

Angus Graham
Price: $368,200
Position: Ruck
2011 Games: 14
2011 DT Average: 74.43

Summary: Had a good Dreamteam start to 2011. He will be battling it out for the number one ruck spot with new recruit Ivan Maric and Andrew Browne.  He was ranked 12th in the AFL for average hitouts in 2011, and 14th overall for total hitouts.

Ben Griffiths
Price: $157,000
Position: Forward
2011 Games: 4
2011 DT Average: 31.75

Summary
: Griffiths has been held back by injuries in his first two seasons, but is fit and injury free, making him an attractive proposition for Dreamteamers.  He is versatile, capable of taking plenty of marks, knows where the big sticks are, and could spend time in defence this season.

Shaun Grigg
Price: $413,100
Position: Midfield
2011 Games: 21
2011 DT Average: 83.52

Summary
: Had a very consistent first year in the Yellow and Black, and had career highs in nearly all major statistical categories. Played a variety of roles in 2011, and managed efforts of 124, 114 and 113. Look for him to keep a similar points average in 2012.

Dylan Grimes
Price: $219,100
Position: Midfield
2011 Games: 7
2011 DT Average: 44.29

Summary
: The rising defender makes his return to the field after being injured in the Dreamtime game in 2011. Will be looking to become a mainstay in defence this season, linking with the Tigers’ band of running defenders.

Brad Helbig
Price: $226,000
Position: Midfield
2011 Games: 10
2011 DT Average: 45.70

Summary
: Helbig is listed as a midfielder, but showed his versatility in his first year, playing a number of roles across the ground.  He has increased his fitness and size in the off season, and will be looking to play more games in 2012.

Bachar Houli
Price: $415,300
Position: Defender
2011 Games: 10
2011 DT Average: 83.95

Summary: Similar to Shaun Grigg, Houli had a great debut year for the Tigers. The rebounding half-back was a sound linkman between defence and attack, and took the most marks for Richmond in 2011. Dreamteamers will be looking for repeat of his 32 possession, five-mark performance against Sydney in Round 21, which netted him 118 points.
