Star Richmond full-forward Jack Riewoldt has received the maximum votes in the AFL Coaches Association’s Player of the Year award for the Round 13 match against Sydney at the SCG.
Riewoldt picked up 10 votes from respective coaches Damien Hardwick (Richmond) and John Longmire (Sydney) for his superb six-goal display in the Tigers’ stirring 18-point win.
Richmond’s captain Trent Cotchin was rewarded for his inspirational efforts with seven votes.

Cotchin had 27 disposals, including 14 contested possessions, five inside-50s and a brilliant goal.
Six votes went the way of the Tigers’ star key defender Alex Rance, who did a superb job in restricting the Swans’ superstar spearhead to just 10 disposals and two goals, while gathering 22 disposals himself, including an equal-game high 11 intercept possessions and a game-high nine rebound-50s.
Tenacious midfielder Anthony Miles was the other Tiger to poll votes in last Friday night’s come-from-behind victory.
Miles, who finished with an equal game-high 29 disposals, including 12 contested possessions, six clearances, four inside-50s and a goal, along with a team-high seven tackles, was given four votes.
