Richmond triple premiership superstar Dustin Martin has been named in the 2023 All Australian squad.

Martin produced yet another stellar season in 2023, averaging 23.6 disposals, 9.8 contested possessions, 4.7 marks, 2.9 clearances, 5.0 inside-50s, 1.2 goals, 7.7 score involvements and 372.5 metres gained per match.

The midfielder/forward also booted 25 goals across his 20 games as he put together some vintage performances, recording 25 or more disposals on eight occasions.

In Round 24 against Port Adelaide on Sunday, Martin had racked up 22 disposals at the half, finishing with 33 disposals, five tackles, 18 pressure acts and 12 score involvements.

The 32-year-old is already four-time All-Australian representative, having received a blazer in 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2020, while making the squad in 2014, 2015 and 2019.

The 2017 Brownlow Medallist is Richmond's only nominee for the 2023 All Australian squad.

Incredibly, only 14 players from last year's squad of 44 have been named again.

The final 22-man All-Australian team will be announced at the AFL Awards on Wednesday night.

The official 2023 All-Australian selection panel is comprised of: Gillon McLachlan (chairperson), Kevin Bartlett, Eddie Betts, Jude Bolton, Nathan Buckley, Kane Cornes, Andrew Dillon, Glen Jakovich, Laura Kane, Cameron Ling and Matthew Pavlich.

Meanwhile, Martin has also been nominated for the 2023 AFL Players’ Association Most Valuable Player Award, alongside fellow Tigers Tim Taranto and Daniel Rioli.

Taranto's transition to Tigerland has been tremendous.

The 25-year-old midfielder played in all 23 home-and-away games in his first season at the Club, averaging 29 disposals, 12.4 contested possessions, six clearances, 371 metres gained and six score involvements per game.

Rioli, continued his sensational work across half-back for the Tigers in 2023, further enhancing his reputation as a star rebounding defender within the competition.

In 23 outings, the 26-year-old averaged 21 disposals, 16 pressure acts, five ground-ball gets and three tackles per game.
