Richmond captain Trent Cotchin was at his inspirational best for the Tigers in last Saturday night’s JLT Community Series clash with Hawthorn at University of Tasmania Stadium, Launceston.
Cotchin paved the way for Richmond’s fighting comeback win through his second-half heroics.

After half-time, Cotchin racked up 17 disposals, with 10 of them coming in the last quarter, as the Tigers stormed home to secure an eight-point win after trailing by 40 points at the long break.
He finished the match with 24 disposals, including six clearances, two crucial goals in the final five minutes of the contest and a game-high 584 metres gained.
Richmond coach Damien Hardwick was suitably impressed with his skipper’s sterling showing.
“I thought Trent probably got back to the style of footy we have. We’ve tried a couple of things with Trent, but we put him back to the role that we know he can do really well,” Hardwick said.
He (Cotchin) does so many things that probably go unseen to a lot of everyday fans. But we see it quite heavily in our coaches box . . .

“When he gets to work, when he starts winning the ball, when he starts driving his legs, is when good things happen.
“I was really pleased that we started to get that back out of him in the second half.
“He finished the game off with that centre-bounce goal, which was important.”
