Richmond’s team for Saturday night’s big Round 18 match against Carlton at the MCG has been bolstered with the inclusion of energetic small forward Jake King.

The 28-year-old returns after suffering a medial ligament strain in his left knee during the Tigers’ Round 14 loss to Adelaide at AAMI Stadium on June 30.

Initially, it was thought King would be sidelined for about six weeks, but yet again he’s defied the odds to reclaim his place in the side well ahead of schedule.

King replaces Brett O’Hanlon, who has been omitted, in the only change to Richmond’s line-up for the clash with the Blues.

The three Tiger emergencies are O’Hanlon, Brad Miller and Angus Graham.
