Chris Yarran is a key acquisition for Richmond in its quest to take the next step in season 2016, according to the Tigers’ star forward Jack Riewoldt.
Yarran’s talented services were secured by Richmond during the AFL’s recent trade period, following his 119-game career for Carlton, and Riewoldt is delighted to now have him as a teammate at Tigerland.
“I’m really excited about Chris,” Riewoldt said on SEN.
“He’s a player that we’ve obviously targeted from a little distance out.
“We see him as a guy that can really impact for our football club.
“If you have a look at the highlights of the time that he spent at Carlton, they are fantastic.
“So, the thing for us, and for Chris going forward, is trying to get more and more of those highlights, and making him a really consistent player for our football club.
“He’s going to be a very exciting addition, along with the other boys that have joined the group (Jacob Townsend from GWS and Andrew Moore from Port Adelaide).
“If they play their roles for the side, they’re going to continue to get a game, and they’re going to make us a better footy club going forward.”
