Assistant coach Justin Leppitsch believes it’s time Richmond grew accustomed to being the hunted rather than the hunter.
The Tigers go into tomorrow’s Round 12 clash with Adelaide at the MCG as warm favorites, on the strength of their impressive last-start victory over West Coast and the Crows’ hefty loss to Sydney in Round 11.
Leppitsch sees this as an ideal opportunity for Richmond’s playing group to show how much they’ve matured . . .

“Probably the two times we’ve faced that (this season), we’ve gone in slightly favorites against Essendon and Collingwood, where the opposition’s come off bad losses – and we’ve failed,” he said on ‘ABC Grandstand’.
“I think the more you mature as a team and mature as an individual, you tend to not fall for the same tricks anymore.
“So, I’m hoping that these sorts of feelings and emotions after wins, the players are able to handle well . . .
“We don’t want to be the sort of team that are only good when the football world and the public think that we’re not going that well and we’re the underdogs.
“We want to be good when everyone expects us to win. That’s what good teams do.
“What you have to get used to when you’re a good team is people coming after you. It happens at Geelong on a weekly basis.
“So, we have to get used to this sort of week.”
