Noah Balta has to be in the All Australian conversation following another top-class performance for Richmond, in last Sunday’s 38-point victory over West Coast at Optus Stadium.
The 23-year-old talented key defender had 17 disposals, seven contested possessions, six marks, a game-high eight rebound-50s, game-high 12 intercepts, three tackles and 550 metres gained.
He was a tower of strength in the Tigers’ backline, as he has been consistently this season, continually thwarting the Eagles’ scoring attempts throughout the contest.
Balta, a member of Richmond’s 2020 premiership team, is averaging 15.2 disposals, 6.0 contested possessions, 5.7 marks, 5.7 rebound-50s, 8.6 intercepts and 408.5 metres gained per match this season.
Competition-wide, he is ranked third for intercepts, fifth for contested marks and sixth for rebound-50s.
