Third quarters have been Richmond’s best up to the mid-year bye.

The Tigers have won eight of their 14 third terms, outscoring the opposition by a combined total of 73 points in those games – 32.26 (218) to 20.25 (145).

Richmond has an overall narrow losing record in the other three quarters, with six wins and eight losses in first, second and fourth terms.

Interestingly, however, the Tigers, under interim coach Andrew McQualter, have won all three first quarters in their past three consecutive victories against Greater Western Sydney (Round 12), Fremantle (Round 13) and St Kilda (Round 14), by a combined total of 52 points – 16.11 (107) to 8.7 (55).

Richmond’s overall highest-scoring quarter so far this season is 8.3 (51) in the Round 4 clash with Western Bulldogs at the MCG.
