Richmond VFL coach Steve Morris provides a summary of how the Tigers’ players performed in Saturday's 32-point win over Sandringham at the Swinburne Centre.
Lachlan Street (31 disposals, 15 contested possessions, eight inside-50s, seven clearances)
"Really solid game once again. He led the team for contested possessions and clearances and was a standout."
Tom Brown (30 disposals, nine rebound-50s, five marks)
"Loving the way Tom's progressing. I thought he made some super decisions with his hands, and his foot skills were fantastic on the day."
Sam Banks (27 disposals, eight rebound-50s, six inside-50s, one goal)
"Along with Tom, Sam used the ball extremely well by foot for the majority of the day in tough conditions. He kicked a beautiful goal on the run and is knocking on the door for selection."
Thomson Dow (25 disposals, three clearances, three marks)
"A big improvement from last week for Thomson. He looked really lively in the midfield and I'm looking forward to him progressing further over the coming weeks."
Cam Olden (25 disposals, seven clearances, seven tackles, two goals)
"Another standout performance in his first game back from concussion. He had 12 contested possessions, seven tackles, seven clearances, two goals and 25 disposals, which is a pretty impressive stat line. We're really glad to have him back."
Austin Johnson (23 disposals, six marks, five inside-50s, one goal)
"I thought he was back to his best on the weekend. He is such a valuable part of our team and he's now become a really strong leader for us as well."
James Trezise (20 disposals, three marks, two rebound-50s)
"He was super again on the weekend. His ability to win the ball back for us both in the air and on the ground is crucial."
Matt Coulthard (16 disposals, three inside-50s, two goals)
"Really liking the progression that he's showing in his first few weeks at the Club. He's definitely getting to know our system and our structures and the excitement he brings is profound."
Brad Melville (16 disposals, seven inside-50s, five tackles, one goal)
"I thought Brad had a really solid game. Once again, he uses the ball really well and he just finds it in open spaces and creates a lot for us. And that was shown with seven inside-50s on the day."
Mutaz El Nour (15 disposals, three marks, two tackles)
"Bounced back to somewhere near his best. Hopefully the bye has come at a good time for him and he can get his body back to 100 per cent."
Tom Brindley (15 disposals, three rebound-50s, three marks)
"It was a really pleasing day for him. We moved him to a position he hasn't played very often for us before, and I thought he was really solid down back. We know we need that flexibility from our VFL-listed players and we saw that from him."
Mykelti Lefau (15 disposals, four clearances, one goal)
"He was a standout performer for us once again. Just his presence in and around the footy was fantastic and he was able to hit the scoreboard as well, having three shots on goal."
Angus Hicks (14 disposals, three tackles, one goal)
"Played his role really well. We spoke about how important our wingers would be and he did a great job there, not only offensively but providing defensive cover for us as well."
Kaelan Bradtke (13 disposals, three marks, two goals)
"A mixed day for him. It was a much-improved effort on recent weeks, which was pleasing to see. He had five shots on goal and was able to halve a number of important contests for us."
Jacob Bauer (13 disposals, six marks, three rebound-50s)
"A mixed bag for Jacob. His best looked very good, but still has some lapses that I'm really keen to see reduced, as he is an outstanding defender when he gets the basics right."
Ivan Soldo (13 disposals, 29 hit-outs, six clearances)
"Really dominant game despite limited minutes for Ivan. He looks like a big, strong presence for us, he had 10 contested possessions and really dominated the ruck on the day."
Tyler Sonsie (11 disposals, two clearances, one mark)
"Probably wasn't his best game and he'll be looking to bounce back strongly against a really formidable Brisbane outfit next week."
Steely Green (11 disposals, four marks, two inside-50s)
"He's doing so much right, and once again, we saw that on the weekend. He probably didn't get the reward that he has got in previous weeks, but we're really happy with the progression that he's showing."
Billy Cooper (11 disposals, five marks, one rebound-50)
"He was solid down back without being a standout on the day. We love how he gets involved in our offence and that's certainly what we needed him to do more of after we were a bit stale in offence out of our back half in the previous couple of weeks."
Harrison White (eight disposals, two tackles, two inside-50s)
"I thought he had an okay game given limited opportunity. He's a really promising player for us and we'll be continuing to work with him to improve his game over the coming weeks and months."
Bigoa Nyuon (eight disposals, five marks, one inside-50)
"He had a decent start to the game but went off relatively early, he was pretty crook. Hopefully he gets over that quickly and we're looking forward to seeing what he can produce in the second half of the season."
Charlie Naish (eight disposals, three marks, one rebound-50)
"First game for the footy club and he held his own. I thought he showed some really good composure at crucial stages and had a couple of key contests which is an area of his game that he's been focusing on."
Misilifi Faimalo (five disposals, three inside-50s, one clearance)
"Whilst he didn't have a huge impact on the stats sheet, he had a big impact on the game. He had seven tackles, he kicked a goal himself and he gave one off to Sam Banks who bombed one from outside 50. He's a real barometer for our team."
