There was a particularly unusual element to Richmond’s Round 8 victory over West Coast at the MCG last Saturday.
It is the first time since 2019 that the Tigers have won a game with both star key forwards Jack Riewoldt and Tom Lynch not contributing a goal.
Riewoldt was goalless in Richmond’s 46-point success, while Lynch, who made his debut with the Club in 2019, after transferring from Gold Coast, is currently sidelined due to a broken foot.
Ten of the Tigers’ 15 goals for the match were kicked by their midfield brigade – Dion Prestia (three), Shai Bolton (three), Tim Taranto (two), Jacob Hopper (one), Dustin Martin (one).
