Sadly, a new Richmond name has been added to our Anzac Day eve guernsey, which honours those who sacrificed their lives at War.
Gordon Addison Graham, a Leading Supply Assistant during World War II, was killed in the sinking of HMAS Perth on March 1, 1942. He had just turned 25 years of age.
Gordon played two Reserve games at Tigerland in the 1937 season, under the captaincy of future Club Hall of Famer Allan Geddes.
His Richmond and War service connection was uncovered by club historian Rhett Bartlett while compiling a list of every known Reserves player. Further information on Gordon’s life was provided by researcher Rob Harris.
