Richmond VFL will blood four debutants in Friday night's clash with Carlton at Ikon Park.
New recruits Luke Teal, Archie May, Lewis Hill and Ben Bilston-McGillen will all pull on the Yellow and Black for the first time.
Athletic defender Teal was given an opportunity to train with the Richmond's AFL squad late in the year before joining the VFL program. The 18-year-old represented Oakleigh Chargers and Vic Metro in 2022 but unfortunately suffered an injury-interrupted year.
May, a former rower and Brighton Grammar graduate, is an 18-year-old ruckman who can follow up his work at ground level and throws his weight around with aggression.
Hill, 21, is a smart and skilful winger from Tooradin-Dalmore and a former Eastern Ranges graduate. He has high-level movement, awareness and composure.
Twenty-year-old Bilston-McGillen is a dangerous forward/midfielder who excited for Old Xaverians in the VAFA for last season. He is crafty, clean and strong over the ball.
Rounding out the inclusions for the Blues game are AFL Tiger Thomson Dow, who missed last week's VFL clash through injury, and VFL-listed players Misilifi Faimalo and Will Bravo.
Out of the side are injured trio Robbie Tarrant, Kaelan Bradtke and Bigoa Nyuon, as well as Mohammed Yassine, who has been omitted. Ben Miller has been recalled at AFL Level, while Jack Ross and Maurice Rioli have been named as emergencies for the trip to Adelaide.
Yassine has been listed as an emergency for the VFL clash, alongside Billy Cooper.
