Richmond will welcome three Tigers back into its line-up for Saturday's twilight clash against the Western Bulldogs at the MCG.

Dustin Martin and Jacob Hopper, who missed last Friday night's clash against Collingwood due to general soreness and a knee complaint respectively, will be a big boost to the Tigers' side to face the Bulldogs. 

Rounding out the inclusions is promising young midfielder Tyler Sonsie, who has been recalled for his first senior outing of the season.

The 20-year-old had a standout performance at VFL level last weekend, recording 37 disposals, 14 contested possessions, seven clearances and six tackles.

The trio replace Trent Cotchin and Jack Riewoldt, who are being managed, and Jack Ross and Maurice Rioli, who have been omitted. 

"Our older players, we've openly spoken about the fact they won't play every game," senior coach Damien Hardwick said when speaking to the media on Thursday morning. 

"There's going to be opportunities throughout the year where we sit there and go 'this is a game where we're going to manage a certain player or two'.

'We've got a long-term plan in mind and we need to make sure we're consistent with that plan."

Talented forward Noah Cumberland, last week's activated substitute, has been named in the starting 22.

Richmond's four emergencies for the match are Cotchin, Ross, Rioli and Ben Miller.

The Club will confirm which player steps into the 23 to be the substitute 60 minutes before the opening bounce.

Two-time premiership Tiger Kamdyn McIntosh will celebrate his 150th AFL game on Saturday.

The clash at the 'G kicks off at 4.35pm and will be broadcast live on Fox Footy and Kayo Sports.
