Richmond senior club advisor Neil Balme has paid the Club’s co-captains Dylan Grimes and Toby Nankervis the ultimate compliment.

Grimes and Nankervis, who were reappointed to that role by the Tigers last week, have been likened to a Yellow and Black ‘Immortal’ by Balme, because of the way they go about their football at the game’s highest level.

“They’re Francis Bourke-like, if anywhere remembers what ‘Bourkey’ was like,” Balme said on SEN.

“They’re not dissimilar to him in the way they play . . .

“There’s no doubt that you’ll get everything from them.

“They don’t hold back, they have a decent crack, they buy in, they’re very much team-orientated, they challenge and support all their teammates.

“So, they’re ideal.”
