Tom Lynch yet again highlighted his importance within the Richmond line-up in yesterday’s stirring come-from-behind victory over Brisbane at the MCG.

The dual premiership Tiger star key forward, who had missed the previous two games because of a hamstring injury, played a major role in the team’s stunning turnaround.

He imposed himself on the contest in powerful fashion and kicked four inspirational second-half goals to help lift the Tigers over the line.

Lynch finished the match with those four goals, along with 15 disposals overall, 11 contested possessions, seven marks, a game-high five contested marks, team-high four marks inside 50, seven score involvements and 298 metres gained.

In the 15 games Lynch has played this season (and he was subbed out of the Round 17 clash with Gold Coast at Metricon Stadium early in the first quarter with that hamstring injury), he’s kicked 43 goals.

So, he’s averaging three goals per game, as well as 5.3 marks, 2.9 contested marks, 3.0 marks inside 50 and 6.2 score involvements.

Across the competition, he is ranked No. 1 in contested marks per game, No. 2 in goals per game and No. 4 in marks inside 50 per game.
