Richmond has locked in its line-up for Friday night's crunch clash against Fremantle at Marvel Stadium.

The Tigers will regain the services of premiership ruckman Ivan Soldo, who was ruled out of Round 18 with a broken thumb.

The 26-year-old returns for his 13th senior game of the season to add an important boost to the Tigers' ruck stocks.

Out of the side are Jake Aarts and Josh Gibcus, who have both been omitted. 

Rhyan Mansell, Thomson Dow, Samson Ryan and Maurice Rioli have been named as emergencies, with the Club to confirm which of the four players comes in as the medical substitute 60 minutes before the game.

Richmond coach Damien Hardwick said he was expecting a tight contest on Friday night. 

"(Fremantle are) very good... They defend very well," he said when speaking to the media on Wednesday morning. 

"We've spoken to our players this week about what that looks like for us... They've got one of the more dynamic midfields that you'll see."

"They're going to be a challenge, but on the other ledger, we're exactly the same. I think we've got a lot of things that they'll be looking at our game thinking 'they do those really well'...It's going to be a great game."

The Round 19 clash will be broadcast live on Channel 7 and FOX FOOTY, with the opening bounce at 7.50pm.
