Talented, young Richmond forward Noah Cumberland has received coaches’ votes in his first full game of AFL football.

Cumberland was given three votes in the 2022 AFL Coaches’ Association’s Player of the Year award for his lively display in the Round 18 Tigers v North Melbourne clash at Marvel Stadium.

He finished the match with 14 disposals, nine contested possessions, four marks, a team-high three goals, 11 score involvements, equal game-high seven inside-50s, four tackles and 345 metres gained.

Star Richmond midfielder Dion Prestia also polled three votes. The triple premiership Tiger had a team-high 26 disposals, 11 contested possessions, four inside-50s, four clearances, three centre clearances, three intercepts, six score involvements, 320 metres gained and took seven marks.

Valuable veteran key defender Robbie Tarrant was Richmond’s other vote-getter for the match. Playing against his former team, Tarrant, with 11 disposals, seven contested possessions, six marks, eight intercepts, three inside-50s and nine one-percenters, picked up two votes, as he did in the previous round against Gold Coast.
