Richmond defender Alex Rance has been cleared of contact with Carlton's Matthew Wright and is free to play in this Thursday's home match against Collingwood at the MCG.
The match day report that stemmed from the final quarter of last Thursday night's season opener was assessed by the AFL's Match Review Panel, and it was deemed contact between both players was inevitable.
No further action will be taken.
In other Tribunal news, first-year Tiger Shai Bolton has received a one-game VFL suspension for striking Northern Blues' Tom Williamson in last Thursday's VFL practice match.
Bolton can play in the next two VFL practice games and miss Round 1 of the VFL home and away season.

The match day report against Richmond’s Alex Rance for engaging in rough conduct against Carlton’s Matthew Wright from the fourth quarter of Thursday’s match was assessed.
Wright was seeking to pick up a loose ball in the Carlton forward line.
Rance establishes his defensive position and is close to stationary when contact was made high to Wright with Rance’s right arm.
It was the view of the panel that contact between the two players was inevitable but the high contact was incidental and no further action was required.
