Richmond has named talented playmaker Shane Edwards in its 25-man squad for Sunday’s match against Fremantle at the MCG.

Edwards has missed the past five games with a hip injury that he sustained in the Tigers’ Round 2 victory over Collingwood.

There are three other additions to Richmond’s squad for the Round 8 encounter, with ruckman Toby Nankervis returning from a one-game suspension, young forward Ben Lennon recalled after his recent impressive form at VFL level, and experienced defender Jake Batchelor included for what could be his first senior appearance this season.

The only out at this stage is Nick Vlastuin, who has a shoulder injury.
