Dual Richmond premiership star key forward Tom Lynch celebrated his 200th AFL game in grand style with a powerful performance against West Coast at Optus Stadium last night.

Lynch played a major role in the Tigers’ mammoth 109-point win, breaking several personal records over the course of the four quarters.

He finished with seven goals (7.5), which is the most in his time at Tigerland, took an equal AFL career-high 14 marks, career-high eight contested marks, career-high nine marks inside 50, and a career-high 15 score involvements.

Richmond coach Damien Hardwick lauded Lynch during his post-match press conference.

“He looked strong . . . he towered above,” Hardwick said.

“Obviously, they had some players out. . . so we got an opportunity to try and exploit down there, and I thought he was terrific.

“His ability to jump at the ball in and around the contest was great . . .

“He’s been an enormous contributor for us, both on and off the field. So, it was good reward for him . . .”
