Seasoned Richmond star Brett Deledio rates talented, young Tiger Ben Lennon as a top prospect at the game’s highest level.
Lennon, who was Richmond’s first pick (No. 12 overall) in the 2013 National Draft, has shown some extremely promising signs since being recalled to the senior line-up for the Round 16 clash with St Kilda at Etihad Stadium.
The 20-year-old kicked three goals in that match playing as a half-forward, and followed that up with two goals against ladder leader Fremantle at the MCG in Round 17.

He didn’t manage to register a goal in last Friday night’s win against Hawthorn (his 11th league game all-up), but was still a valuable contributor up forward, taking six marks (two of them strong, contested grabs) and having five score involvements.
“He’s a really smart player,” Deledio said on Channel Seven.
“He plays mostly across half-forward . . . creates a really good contest, is strong in the air, but has got some speed at ground level as well.
“He’s still just learning the game – he’s only in his second year – so he’s got plenty of scope and parameter to improve.
“We’re really excited about what he’s bringing, and looking forward to what he’s got for the next few years coming.”
