Veteran stayer Debecca will carry the hopes of the Tiger faithful at Sandown Racecourse tomorrow.

The eight-year-old is competing in the 3200-metre Sandown Cup at 1.30pm, and jockey Craig Newett will wear specially-made Richmond silks, complete with the famous yellow sash.

Debecca will take impressive form into the race, having won its last start at Mornington, which followed a fourth placing at Moonee Valley and a third at Bairnsdale.

The Melbourne Racing Club will provide 2011 Richmond members with free admittance on the day (upon presentation of their 2011 membership card), which represents a saving of $20 per person.

A host of Richmond players will be in attendance, signing autographs, taking part in footy clinics, and singing the national anthem alongside a group of jockeys.

For avid horse racing fans, Jack Riewoldt and Chris Newman will be picking the Big 6 legs for a Tiger supporters’ punters club.  Fans can enter the punters club on the day for $10 (entry is at the merchandise marquee, and must be finalised 20 minutes before the fourth race).

The day will also feature the “Mascot Stakes” between the Melbourne Racing Club’s ‘Clip Clop Clyde’ and Richmond’s ‘Tiger Stripes Dyer’.
