Hicks was a first-round pick (No. 5 overall) at the 2017 AFLW Draft and boasts 40 matches of AFLW experience. A skilful player, with high football IQ, poise, and composure with ball in hand- Hicks can both set the game up from defence or lock down on a forward. The 27-year-old has averaged nine disposals and not missed a single game in her debut year at Richmond. Away from football, Hicks is a talented cricketer and spent four years with the Sydney Sixers in the Women’s Big Bash League. Hosking is an experienced campaigner known for her contested ability and willingness to put her head over the ball. The 28-year-old has been in Richmond’s leadership group for the past five seasons. Hosking has played 41 of her 71 AFLW matches for the Tigers, having previously been at Carlton. The respected Tiger had successfully made the move into the forward line this year from the midfield, before a hamstring injury suffered in the Dreamtime in Darwin match.
