Richmond seems set to break another attendance record when it hosts Hawthorn in a big Round 3 encounter at the MCG on Sunday.
The biggest crowd for a match between these two teams is 66,305, which occurred in Round 18, 2015 at the ‘G’.
Given the fact it’s a Tigers’ home game and the Club has a record 87,000-plus members, along with this being a Hawthorn replacement home game, plus the Hawks’ unbeaten start to the season, that record total of 66,305 is likely to be topped, especially if the weather is good for the early Sunday time-slot.
The MCC is predicting a crowd of 70,000.
