Triple Richmond premiership star Kane Lambert was rewarded for his top-class display against Port Adelaide at Adelaide Oval last Friday night with the equal-most match votes in the 2021 AFL Coaches’ Association’s Champion Player of the Year Round 4 voting.

Lambert, who had 24 disposals, with two goals, 10 score involvements, four tackles and 264 metres gained in the Tigers’ two-point loss, received seven votes from respective coaches Damien Hardwick and Ken Hinkley.

The two other Richmond Round 4 vote-getters in the prestigious coaches’ award were Shai Bolton and Toby Nankervis, with one apiece.

Bolton finished the match with 22 disposals, five inside-50s, five clearances, one goal, five score involvements, four marks five intercepts, four tackles and 475 metres gained.

Nankervis had 22 disposals, six clearances, nine intercepts, 19 hit-outs and took six marks.
