Matthew Richardson gives Tiger fans an update on his AFL Fantasy teams and Superboot selections after Round 18.
AFL Fantasy
What an incredible two weeks of AFL Fantasy!
The split round seemed to be just what the doctor ordered for the biggest Fantasy stars, with some astronomical scores being generated across Round 18.
I go on about him a lot in this column, but Tom Rockliff was clearly the standout in Brisbane’s annihilation of the Gold Coast, with a massive 190 points. I’m a bit annoyed that I stuck with Stevie Johnson as my vice-captain to get the double points this week, but I suppose I can’t complain about 290 from my skipper.
Other very honourable mentions in this high-scoring round included Pearce Hanley, who scored 182 points, Jake Carlisle (165), Nick Riewoldt (164) and Matt Priddis (147).
The big winner from the Richmond fan league this week was William Linton and his team “There’sAWillThere’sAWay” with a whopping 2646 points. Asif and “Nonproductive” is still leading the league, but Mark and “RichmondTigers2014” have popped up out of nowhere to be just 17 points shy in second place! Great work Mark.
Good luck for Round 19!

Superboot
Bernie Vince only got me one goal as my Superboot this week. I thought he might just run riot back in Adelaide, but sadly not! Back to the drawing board.
I’m now sitting in 76th place, 25 goals behind S Springer in first place on 84 goals. I’m no chance of winning now, but I still want to finish the season strongly!
The teams I haven’t picked a Superboot from yet are Adelaide, Essendon, Fremantle and the Western Bulldogs. With the Dockers hosting Carlton over at Patersons this Thursday night, I think it might be time for big Matt Pavlich to strap on his superboots. I’ve got a good feeling! He is probably the only key forward I haven’t used yet, so this could be my week to make a big jump in the rankings.
Good luck for Round 19 – if you still haven’t joined up, hop on board here.
