Scans have cleared Richmond spearhead Jack Riewoldt of any structural damage to his knee.

Riewoldt landed awkwardly in a marking contest during the fourth quarter of Saturday’s match against Carlton, hyperextending his right knee.

After a short time off the field, he returned to complete the match.

Riewoldt will need to complete training during the week before being considered for selection.

Richmond captain Trent Cotchin is likely to be available for this Sunday’s clash against Greater Western Sydney, after suffering a bruised shin against the Blues.

And defender Ricky Petterd will be assessed during the week, as he bids to overcome hamstring soreness.

Speedy forward Matt White, who was a late withdrawal with hamstring soreness, will face a fitness test later this week, along with Chris Newman, who missed the Carlton game with an ankle injury.

Forwards Shane Edwards and Jake King are available for selection this week after overcoming hamstring injuries.
