Richmond will be hoping to turn around an ordinary first-up record at league football venues, when it makes the trek to Canberra for Saturday afternoon’s Round 19 clash with Greater Western Sydney at StarTrack Oval.
It’s going to be the Tigers’ debut appearance at the ground formerly known as Manuka Oval in a match for four premiership points, although they have previously played a pre-season game there.
All-up, Richmond has competed on 34 grounds in its 108-year AFL/VFL history. In the 34 debut encounters at those venues, the Tigers have won 11 and lost 23.
