Two young, talented Tigers achieved “personal bests” in Richmond’s 31-point victory over Brisbane at the Gabba last Saturday night.
Dustin Martin and Ty Vickery both scored their highest goal tallies in a league match.
Martin’s brilliant five-goal haul, in his 33rd game, eclipsed his previous best of four goals v North Melbourne at Etihad Stadium in Round 5 this year and took his season’s total to 21.
Vickery’s impressive four-goal display, in his 35th game, topped the three goals he scored against Fremantle at the MCG in Round 7 this season, and the three he booted against Essendon in the 2011 Dreamtime match. He now has 22 goals for the season.
