Richmond midfielder Ella Wood has announced her retirement from the AFLW competition.
An inaugural AFLW Tiger, Wood was taken by Richmond with its third selection at the 2019 NAB AFLW Draft (Pick No. 31 overall) from the GWV Rebels.
The 19-year-old played three games in the Tigers' maiden season, showcasing her hard running and creativity.
Richmond’s Head of Women’s Football Kate Sheahan thanked Wood for her contribution to the Club.
"We wish Ella all the best for the next chapter, as she focuses on spending time with her loved ones back home in Ararat," Sheahan said.
"She has been a much-loved member of our inaugural AFLW side and we are hopeful that she will return to the game in the future when she is ready."
