Richmond rising star small defender Liam Baker was rewarded for his top-class display against Brisbane at Metricon Stadium last Tuesday night with the most votes in the 2020 AFL Coaches’ Association’s Champion Player of the Year award for the Round 10 clash.

Baker received nine votes after finishing the match with an equal game-high 26 disposals, equal game-high rebound-50s, eight intercepts, seven score involvements, six marks and 580 metres gained.

Exciting, young Tiger Shai Bolton was given eight votes, while superstar Dustin Martin continued his surge in the prestigious award, which he won back in 2017, picking up seven votes. Martin has polled 24 votes in the past three games.
