The dual Tigers premiership hero finished the match with a season-high 23 disposals, a season-high and game-high 14 contested possessions, a season-high/game-high nine clearances, season-high/game-high eight inside-50s, season-high five marks, equal season-high two goals, seven score involvements and a season-high/game-high 506 metres gained.

It was Martin who provided the spark for the Tigers’ spirited comeback in the third quarter after they trailed by nearly five goals.

He kicked two goals in that term and lifted teammates through his customary brilliance.

Richmond coach Damien Hardwick praised Martin’s performance during his post-match press conference.

“I thought Dustin was terrific in and around the contest, getting the ball forward,” Hardwick said.

“Once he wins the ball, he uses it well.

“He’s really, really hard to stop.

“Kicked a couple of goals, probably should have finished off with another one as well. But I thought he was one of the positives tonight.”
