Richmond’s dangerous small forward Robbie Nahas underlined his value to the team with a lively four-goal display against Melbourne at the MCG last Saturday.

On a day where the Tigers found it extremely difficult to steer the ball between the big sticks, Nahas’ goalkicking effort was invaluable.

He kicked 4.1 out of Richmond’s total of 13.23, to help lift the side to a crucial 23-point victory.

All of his goals came in the second half, with three of them in the last quarter, as the Tigers staved off a Demon fightback.

It was Nahas’ best goal return for the season and, as a result, he’s now moved into second place on the Club’s 2012 goalkicking list, with 18 goals, behind Jack Riewoldt, on 39 goals.

The 24-year-old, who made his AFL debut with Richmond in 2009, has kicked 81 goals in his 69 games.

He finished fourth on the Tigers’ goalkicking table in 2010 (with 13) and fourth again last year (with 29).

After 15 rounds this season, Nahas is also ranked equal 10th in the competition for goal assists, with 13, behind the leader, Sydney’s Kieren Jack, on 17.
