Richmond will have a staggered start to pre-season training, with players in the 1-3 year (experience) category kicking off on Monday, October 31.

The following Thursday (November 3), they will be joined by the 4-7 year players.

Then, on Monday, November 7, players in the 8-plus years’ group will hit the track.

Since the Tigers’ 2011 campaign finished, however, a number of players have been seen working hard on their own individual training regimes at the Club, in a bid to (literally) hit the ground running at the official start of pre-season.

Tiger fans will be delighted to hear that young gun midfielder Dustin Martin is looking in superb condition as he prepares for his third pre-season at the game’s highest level.

A key difference in this year’s pre-season program will be the permanent availability of Punt Road Oval to train on, with the cricket pitches having recently been removed from the centre square area.
