Richmond supporters are in for a veritable football feast in the opening round of the NAB Cup at Etihad Stadium tomorrow night (Saturday, February 12).
Not only will they get to see Richmond play two matches - against arch rivals Carlton and Collingwood - they’ll also be able to watch a special celebrity/legends 9-a-side touch football game between the Tigers and Blues.
That clash will take place at around 8pm, in between Richmond’s first NAB Cup match, against Carlton, and its second one, against Collingwood.
Should the “Tigers of Old” win their super 9s battle with the “Old Dark Navy Blues”, they’ll take on “Good Old Collingwood in a second 9s match, at around 9.10pm.
Richmond will be represented in the super 9s challenge by Dale Weightman, Robert Wiley, Chris Naish, Stephen Ryan, Allan McKellar, Phil Egan, Bruce Tempany, Tony Free, Michael Pickering, and Scott Turner.
To further enhance the night for Richmond supporters, they will be able to meet and obtain autographs from some of those Tigers not playing in the matches, including Brett Deledio, Dustin Martin, Jack Riewoldt, Trent Cotchin and Nathan Foley, in the Victory Room from 6-7pm.
Jake King will captain Richmond in tomorrow night’s (Saturday, February 12) NAB Cup opening round matches against Carlton and Collingwood at Etihad Stadium.
