The Tigers are resting vice-captain Trent Cotchin, midfielders Nathan Foley, Shaun Grigg and Daniel Jackson, plus young defender Dylan Grimes, with Reece Conca missing due to suspension, and Brett Deledio to be sidelined for another week with his hamstring strain.
But they have a host of other key players who will make the trip over to the west, including skipper Chris Newman, Dustin Martin, Jack Riewoldt, Bachar Houli, Robin Nahas, Jake King, Ty Vickery, Daniel Connors and Ivan Maric.
Young rookie-list player Piva Wright, who did not play in the opening round of the NAB Cup, has been included in the squad for the match against the Dockers.
