Richmond vice-captain Trent Cotchin is adamant the Tigers still have plenty to play for in the remaining home-and-away rounds this season.

In the wake of a third consecutive loss by under a goal, against Carlton at the MCG last Saturday night, which put Richmond three games out of the top eight, Cotchin remained optimistic . . .

“We’ve got a lot to prove over the next five weeks . . . our season’s not done by any means,” the Tiger star said on Channel Seven’s “Game Day”.

“As disappointing as last night was, it’s important for us to get back on the horse and show our supporters, and the football community, that we are going somewhere in the future.

“We’re going to give it our best for the next five weeks.”

Cotchin believes Richmond’s string of narrow losses this season are part of the team’s overall development.

“They’re the game that we’re going to learn from in the future,” he said.

“That’s just experience, and we’re going to get better as the years go by.”
