One goal to 14 in the first half, saw Richmond heavily defeated by St Kilda at Etihad Stadium on Saturday night.
The Saints came out with intent at the ball and the opposition in the first half, and the Tigers couldn't withstand the heat as the home side piled on the goals.
The second term was St Kilda's best quarter ever at Richmond's expense and put an 82-point gap between the sides by half-time. That pace was never sustainable as Richmond worked back into the game, but the Saints still inflicted an emphatic 21.12 (138) to 10.11 (71) win.
The majority of St Kilda's goals came off Tiger turnovers, and the numbers in St Kilda's favour by the half-time siren were extraordinary: 248-142 disposals, 43-14 inside 50s, 23-9 clearances.
Richmond came out with intent after half-time, and kicked six goals to two in the final term, but the damage was well and truly done.
Both sides have concerns for next week, with Dylan Grimes missing the second half with concussion and Tim Membrey likely to face MRP scrutiny for the elbow that put the Tiger on the bench.
