Robust Richmond midfielder Daniel Jackson has escaped serious injury to his right leg and is confident he will be available to play in Sunday’s Round 21 clash with the Sydney Swans at the MCG.
Jackson hurt his leg when he accidentally kicked West Coast opponent Matt Rosa’s knee, during the third quarter of last Sunday’s match at Subiaco.
Both players were subsequently subbed out of the game, with Rosa now expected to be sidelined for around four weeks with a damaged posterior cruciate ligament.
The news for Jackson, however, is significantly better . . .
“I think I’ve dodged a bullet there,” he told the Roar Vision Review on the Club’s website today (August 9).
“We had the scans yesterday and there’s no crack.
“It’s just a little bit sore, but I’m every chance to play this week.
“I’m just resting up now, but hopefully will train later in the week and it will be fine.”blog comments powered by Disqus
