Richmond has made five changes to its side for Sunday’s match against Sydney at the Gabba. 

The Tigers have recalled ruckman Ivan Soldo in place of injured Toby Nankervis, while livewire forward Shai Bolton has also been named. 

Midfield duo Jack Graham and Marlion Pickett will also come back into the line-up for Richmond's first clash since arriving in the Gold Coast hub earlier this week.

Creative half-back Derek Eggmolesse-Smith has been included for his third senior outing, his most recent appearance being Round 17, 2019.

Speaking to Richmond Media last weekend, VFL and development coach Xavier Clarke spoke highly of Eggmolesse-Smith's impact in the reserves. 

"He plays the system really well and he got a lot of the ball. The beauty of Derek is he can make things happen when he gets the ball. He's a very good attacking half-back for us," he said.

They replace Nankervis, Dion Prestia and Trent Cotchin, who will miss the clash through injury, as well as Shane Edwards and Bachar Houli, who have remained in Melbourne for family reasons. 

Star key forward Tom Lynch will play this weekend after undergoing hand surgery on Monday following Richmond's win over Melbourne last Sunday.

"He did the vast majority [of training] which surprised us and exceeded expectations... He's an incredibly brave and tough character," coach Damien Hardwick said on Friday morning.

Richmond’s four emergencies for the Swans clash are Riley Collier-Dawkins, Callum Coleman-Jones, Jack Ross and Sydney Stack.
