Toby Nankervis made a welcome return to Richmond’s line-up in yesterday’s match against St Kilda at Marvel Stadium.
The dual premiership ruckman was a shining light for the Tigers in their 26-point loss to the Saints.
Nankervis, in his first senior appearance since the resumption of the 2020 season, finished the match with 17 disposals, five clearances, five intercepts, five score involvements, four marks, 26 hit-outs and a goal.
He worked tirelessly throughout the four quarters in a determined effort to lift the struggling side and drew praise from coach Damien Hardwick post-game.
“’Nank’ was good . . . he was one of our better players. I thought he was the most dominant ruckman on the ground,” Hardwick said.
