Richmond has recalled versatile tall pair Luke McGuane and David Astbury, along with back-up ruckman Orren Stephenson, for Saturday’s big clash with Hawthorn at the MCG.
They replace injured trio Ricky Petterd (groin), Ty Vickery (concussion) and Matt Arnot (back).
McGuane, 192cm and 92 kg, has kicked 14 goals in nine games for Richmond this season, but this will be his first appearance at AFL level since the Round 9 Dreamtime match.
Astbury, 195cm and 96kg, has managed just two senior games with Richmond in season 2013 (Round 12 v Adelaide and Round 13 v Western Bulldogs), but he’s been rewarded for a series of solid performances across the backline with Coburg in the VFL.
Stephenson, 200cm and 104kg, has played four games in his debut season for Richmond after crossing from Geelong late last year. His last appearance was in the Round 15 loss to North Melbourne at Etihad Stadium.
