Richmond midfielders Shane Tuck and Matt Arnot have pressed their claims for senior selection with impressive performances for Coburg yesterday.

Arnot responded strongly to his AFL omission by collecting 30 disposals and kicking two goals in the Tigers’ 44-point loss to Frankston.

Tuck, in his second game back from a shoulder injury, won 30 possessions, eight clearances and kicked a goal.

Fellow midfielder Sam Lonergan had 22 touches and nine clearances, while up forward Luke McGuane kicked two, and defender Ricky Petterd amassed 21 disposals.

Frankston shot out of the blocks, kicking the only four goals of the first quarter to lead by 23 points.

The Dolphins narrowly won the next three quarters to inflict Coburg’s ninth loss of the season.

The Tigers have the week off, before facing Werribee on Sunday, July 21.
