Not surprisingly, new Richmond captain, Trent Cotchin, has slotted into the role with a minimum of fuss.
Cotchin took over the Tigers' captaincy last November following Chris Newman's resignation at the end of the 2012 season.
The 22-year-old midfield star is the youngest Tiger skipper in more than a century, however, despite his tender football years, he is unfazed by the added responsibility that goes with the job.

"Its been good . . . it's been an eye-opener for me. Vice-captain last year and it’s just another step forwards and upwards," Cotchin said.
"There's a little bit more pressure, with some of the decisions being made around the Club. But 'Newy's been fantastic in his support, as well as the Club.
"They've been guiding me in the right direction."
Cotchin, who has won the past two Jack Dyer Medals, as Richmond’s Best and Fairest player, doesn't turn 23 until April 7, which is two days after the Tigers' Round 2 clash with St Kilda at the MCG.
