Having bolstered its talent stocks with three selections (Ben Lennon, Nathan Gordon and Sam Lloyd) in the 2013 AFL National Draft, the Richmond recruiters have now turned their attention to the rookie draft, to be held next Wednesday (November 27).

“We’ll meet early in the meeting and have a look at our rookie options,” Richmond’s Recruiting Manager Francis Jackson told ‘Roar Vision’ in a special post-draft interview last night.

“Quite a few players, who we anticipated might have been chosen tonight, missed out.

“We’ve still got a fair bit of work to go, with three rookie picks, but we’re excited to look forward to what other talent we can bring to the Club.”

The AFL has brought forward the date of the rookie draft this year, to eliminate the previous three-week gap between the drafts.
